Intrathecal Dosage and Administration

• Rate of injection: Injection should be made slowly over 1 to 2 minutesn

• Repeat procedures: If sequential or repeat examinations are required,na suitable interval of time between administrations should be observed to allownfor normal clearance of the drug from the body; at least 48 hours should benallowed before repeat examination; however, whenever possible, 5 to 7 days isnrecommended.

 

• If computerized tomographic (CT) myelography follows myelography,ndelay imaging several hours to allow the degree of contrast to decrease.
